1st Day of Winter!

1st day of snow of the season! However, if I'm honest, the snowfall we had was nothing compared to what Europe had. Also, most of the initial snow is gone now, but I'm hoping for that huge snow storm to come around and bog Ann Arbor down in X inches of snow.

When that day comes, I have something huge planned to post here (hopefully).

Alaska?

erm...what should i say.
Hi! This is Shien Yin bloggging from Sheffield, UK.
I'm free (read: bored) for the rest of the week because my classes are cancelled due to the heavy snow.
Will be back end of the month, let's hang out? =)
Yes, last month of the year. If you still have your 2010 New Year's resolution list, take it out and stare hard at it. There will be things achieved, things half-way done, and oppss, things that made the list but never survived January. No matter how good or bad(hope not) your 2010 has been, there's still one more month to make full use of.

So, Happy December people!

When Sheffield and Cambridge meet (in) Nottingham

Sleep: 1 hour.
Travelling time: 5 hours.
Work left behind: 60 pages + 15 articles + 12 cases.
Meeting an S5-ian away from home: Priceless.
There are very few pleasures in life money can buy.
For everything else, there's S5.
(p.s. Jing Xin: We will be back!)

Revising.

Revising for midterms - it's not a particularly pleasing thing to do.

Share your experience on the chatbox. How did midterms go for you?

Centrifugal force.

I recently got this comic from my lecturer, who thought it would be great fun to share it with the class. In turn, I think that it would be great to share it with you.

EDIT: Newton's Laws in a rotating system is Euler's equation. You can look it up.

FURTHER EDIT: Michigan lost. No....
